Apresente exposição não pretende, nem poderia pretender, esgotar o assunto acerca da união estável. Demonstra-se que o fato da convivência entre homem e mulher, sem formalização oficial, sempre existiu e nada faz crer que deixe de existir um dia. Antes de ser fato jurídico, é fato social e, como tal, constitui objeto da sociologia. Pode também ser examinado por outros prismas: o econômico, o ético, o religioso - e, no particular, convém não esquecer que, em certas regiões do nosso país, grande número de uniões não oficializadas à luz da lei civil é constituído de pessoas que se casaram religiosamente, perante o ministro de alguma igreja.

The present exhibition does not intend, nor could it intend, to exhaust the subject about the stable union. It is demonstrated that the fact of the coexistence between man and woman, without official formalization, has always existed and nothing makes us believe that it will cease to exist one day. Before being a legal fact, it is a social fact, and, as such, it is the object of sociology. It can also be examined from other perspectives: the economic, the ethical, the religious -and, in particular, we should have in mind that, in certain regions of our country, a large number of unofficial unions under the civil law are made up of people who they married religiously, before the minister of some church.
