Não há carreira na bem remunerada e exemplar magistratura inglesa, constituída de advogados experientes, justificando terem os juízes média de idade mais alta do que em outros países. O Ministério Público que, praticamente, não existia na Inglaterra passou a ter consistência com o Prosecution of Offences Act (1985), sanando-se uma imperdoável lacuna institucional.

There is no career in the well-paid and exemplary English judiciary, made up of experienced lawyers, justifying the fact that the average judge is older than in other countries. The Public Prosecutor's Office, which practically did not exist in England, became consistent with the Prosecution of Offenses Act (1985), and an unforgivable institutional gap was solved.
